What happened? The giant cube that resides in the center of Astor Place is missing! A sign in the square indicates it is in for repairs. What repairs can a giant cube really need? For those that aren’t familiar, this cube is about oh, 12 feet tall? And you can move it. Which is sort of cool if you are feeling geeky enough to go do that. Mostly though it is a hang-out for teenagers pretending they are homeless. This kids of course have on hundred dollar boots and leather jackets. But they will ask you for money just the same.
At least the kids weren’t there today. But I miss the cube!
