Jedi Physical Comedy

Today has been a great day.

It started off and I was shooting a gig where I sat on a bench in Brooklyn cat calling some milfs who were walking by. Not bad right? But then we noticed that there was a birthday party going on in the park and the entertainment was not a clown. Not a pony. Not a magician. But a Jedi!

Whaat? What made this better was the though that maybe he was a Jedi magician. But when I got closer it turned out he was a Jedi comedian. Yes, his jokes were Star Wars based mostly. But he’d do crowd work obvs. And he would do a lot of physical comedy not owing some much to the fact of him being a Jedi but what being a Jedi in the modern world meant. For example, he got his umbrella stuck in his robes. And that was particularly vexing to him.

Then I just went to the 52nd Street Project which my friends(Megan Cramer and Jeremy Beck) were in… and that’s Megan’s job which is pretty awesome. Well it is when I tell you what it is—it’s were kids write plays and then have professional actors put on the plays at the Public Theatre. How cool is that? Jeremy played Peanut Butter in a play that was about the beginning of Peanut Butter and Jelly’s relationship and guess what kids? IT WASN’T GOOD. P.B. was annoyed with Jelly. Such a great idea for a story!

In another play, Billy Crudup played a character named “Stupid”, who was, it is fair to say, a little stupid.

Anyway, it was a great day to feel inspired by acting, storytelling, MILFS, and Jedi comedians. There’s still four hours left. What’s next?
