She got the candles now
And she can’t see my face
Which she can’t seem to face anyway

I said, “You let the cold air in.”
And there’s nothing to do but play charades
But the funny thing is we play that anyway
And the night draws out like an accordion
And it’s hard to tell just who had won
And I know, it’s a dark and cloudy day.
I can’t compete
So I won’t compete
I’ll forfeit this game
Grab my bases, go home back the way I came
And there’s nothing to say but what we can’t spit out
And the funny thing is we’re better off now
And the sun comes up like she always does
It’s a brand new day, full of fresh fuck-ups.
